The #1 Reason Why Your Marketing Isn't Working

Online marketing and social media is sooo easy. I started 6 months ago and now I drive a Lamborghini

Does this sound familiar?

You jump head first into social media.

Maybe do a few Facebook Live videos, post a few selfies from some events, a few tips or cool articles you found or some inspirational quotes...

But nothing happens.

It's been a couple of weeks and not one person seems to notice.

Your online marketing slowly gets pushed down your to-do list do and eventually you give up.

Being consistent is one of the most important aspects of your social media.

Firstly, being consistent will help you to connect with your audience and help them become more familiar with your brand. The more they see you, the more they will get to know you, like you & trust you.

Secondly (and maybe more importantly) if you are posting on social media regularly and people are engaging with your posts, the algorithm will start to prioritize your posts and your search results will vastly increase.

Have you ever noticed that you see posts from the same people on Facebook and LinkedIn over and over again? It's probably because those people are posting regularly and getting good engagement.

So, if you are consistent in:

  • creating content for social media

  • engaging with others

  • delivering value to your audience

  • speaking to your ideal clients' pain points

...you WILL GET RESULTS!

Here are Four Tips to Help You Become Consistent with Social Media:

Tip #1 - Make it part of your routine - set aside time each week or day to create your content. If you need help planning it out, try using a content calendar

Tip #2 - Batch create your content - I usually set aside a few hours on Friday to go to a coffee shop and bust through some content. Then I can schedule out the next week's content in advance.

Tip #3 - Try re-purposing your old content - I try to make my articles and blog contents evergreen so that I can re-use them in the future. Sometimes you can take content that you've created in the past and chop it up into smaller bits and re-post it. You can also try refreshing some of your past content. Remember: the goal is to be consistent but never at the expense of quality - don't be afraid to update and improve your old content.

Tip #4 - Vary up your content - not every post needs to be an all-encompassing document. Sometimes a small piece of inspirational content or photo/video will suffice.
